About Ourhotels

Ourhotels is a small, family-run collection of four inns across West Iceland, Snæfellsnes and the Westfjords — owned and run by people who live here, not a chain with a head office somewhere else.

The four

• The Hvítá Inn — 26 rooms on the Hvítá riverbank in Borgarbyggð, with our restaurant and bar. Open since 2023.
• Hvítá Trucks — six rooms built into reclaimed military trucks on the same site. Opened 2026, and genuinely unlike anywhere you’ve slept.
• The Stykkishólmur Inn — twelve rooms in the harbour town on Snæfellsnes, each with its own hand-painted full-wall mural. Since 2023.
• The Ísafjörður Inn — an eight-room micro hotel by the harbour in the Westfjords. Since 2023.

How we run things

Plain answers and real data over gloss: live weather on the homepage, real Google review counts (we don’t edit the bad ones), and prices that are cheapest when you book direct with us. Breakfast is included with every stay. Every inn runs self check-in around the clock — here’s exactly how it works — and there’s always a local on the phone at +354 497 1373.

In the last year we’ve welcomed over ten thousand guests. Some things still aren’t perfect — it’s a small team and we build as we go — but if something’s wrong we’d rather hear it and fix it than hide it. That’s the whole philosophy.
