Stykkishólmur Inn is a cozy, art-immersive retreat in the heart of Snæfellsnes, where every room is part of a living story. Each of our 12 rooms features a full-wall mural from the exclusive “Næstum Því” (“Almost”) series — an imaginative art project that explores the unrealized dreams and near-histories of Stykkishólmur. These murals, created by local and international artists, transform each room into its own narrative: a rocket launch that never happened, a ghost airport, a puffin who almost became famous, and other beautifully curious “what-ifs.” No two rooms are alike, turning your stay into a one-of-a-kind experience.

Your visit includes a fresh Icelandic breakfast each morning — warm bread, skyr, local cheeses, seasonal jam, and strong coffee — served in a calm and welcoming atmosphere.
